Dental Fillings

If part of a tooth has been lost through decay or damaged due to an accident, your dentist may place a dental filling in the tooth. Fillings take only one dental visit to place. Composite fillings are not only used to restore teeth that have decay, they can also be used to mask imperfections and improve aesthetics.

Many of today’s filings are white in color to restore your smile to a more natural look and feel. Composite resin fillings preserve as much healthy tooth structure as possible due to the superior bond to the tooth leading to smaller, more conservative preparations which actually strengthen the tooth internally.  With proper dental care, tooth colored fillings can last for many years.
