Dentures and Partials

Losing teeth can be distressing. Thankfully, you have options to restore your smile. Whether you’ve lost teeth due to periodontal disease, tooth decay, or trauma, dentures or partial dentures can be made to replace missing teeth. A denture or partial denture can improve your smile. They also improve your physical, mental, and social wellbeing by allowing you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence again.

Complete Dentures

If you are missing all your teeth, complete dentures are an option to replace your teeth on your top and bottom arches. Over a series of 4-5 appointments, our team will help create beautiful, natural looking dentures. These dentures will sit on top of your gums. Dentures are held in place by natural suction. However, adhesives may be needed.

Complete dentures restore the aesthetics of your smile and also support your facial structures, giving you a more youthful appearance.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are an excellent option for those that are missing multiple teeth, but still have some healthy teeth remaining. Partials are secured in place using clasps that hold onto your existing natural teeth. By clasping onto your remaining teeth, a partial denture is much more secure and retentive than a complete denture.

Implant Overdentures or Implant Partials

Implants can serve as anchors for removable prosthetics. Complete dentures and partial dentures can be modified to allow them to snap onto an implant, securing it in place. With improved retention, you’ll enjoy improved function, allowing you to eat, speak, and smile with ease, knowing your teeth won’t slip out of place. You’ll still be able to remove your implant overdenture or implant partial for easy cleaning.

Please note it will take some time to become accustomed to a new denture or partial denture. It is not uncommon to develop sore spots and for the denture to need adjustments in the first few weeks. Your new denture or partial denture will initially feel quite bulky, and it may take several weeks or months to learn how to properly eat and speak with them. Patience is key!
